Description WW1 Imperial German M1898/05 butcher bayonet and scabbard in good used condition. It is a 2nd pattern example with its leather frog still in place. It is maker marked for Waffenfabrik Mauser A.B Oberndorf on the ricasso. The bayonet has a issue stamp on the pommel and on top of the blade. It was issued in 1916. It has been plated for parade use which would have been done post WW1. The scabbard has one small ding on the front, overall in good condition for is age. It has been re-painted again post war period for parade. Please see the photographs for further condition details.
