Description WW1 Imperial German M1898/05 butcher bayonet and scabbard in good used condition. It is a 2nd pattern example with its leather frog still in place. It is maker marked for Waffenfabrik Mauser A.B Oberndorf on the ricasso. The bayonet has a issue stamp on the pommel and on top of the blade. It was issued in 1916. It shows signs of use and age related colour to the metal parts. The leather frog shows age related wear with some of the stitching missing. It does have a trade mark stamp. The scabbard has one small ding on the back, overall in good condition for is age. Please see the photographs for further condition details.
