Description The Misfit Kick Mk II Base Kit is the best matte box for professional filmmakers: giving you fine-tuned visual control no matter the setup. With our patented Reveal Stage mechanism, you can seamlessly transition from a two-stage to three-stage matte box without any tools required. This allows you to fit up to three 4” x 4” and 4” x 5.65” filters. The Misfit Kick Mk II can be configured to clip-on, rod-mounted or swing away setups; and is fully compatible with our range of Frame Safe Clamp Adaptors. Our Most Versatile Matte Box The Misfit Kick Mk II uses an updated version of our patented Reveal Stage system: allowing you to quickly add a third stage to your matte box. Not requiring any tools means that you can easily adjust your visuals on-the-go with extra filters. Refined Creative Control The Misfit Kick Mk II Base Kit comes with two filter trays that can hold 4” x 4” and 4” x 5.65” filters safely. They are spring-loaded into the Misfit Kick Mk II, making them easily to load and unload with a secure press. They also come with large handles that make them convenient to retrieve from inside the mechanism. Lightweight Design Whether you’re shooting on a shoulder rig or a tripod, unnecessary weight is a risk that you can always avoid. With the Misfit Kick Mk II, made from a single sheet of billet aluminium, that risk is reduced. Though not as lightweight as our Misfit Atom, the Misfit Kick Mk II is an ultra lightweight matte box at just 300g. Frame Safe If you’re using wide-angle lenses or large-format sensors and want to keep your shot clear of vignetting, then use our Frame Safe Clamp Adaptors – fully compatible with the Misfit Kick Mk II Base Kit. Working with a range of lens Outer Diameters (ODs), the adaptors allow you to shoot without interference. Expanded Options Aside from Clamp Adaptors, the Misfit Kick Mk II Base Kit can also be built on with a range of other accessories. Reduced glare with top, bottom and side flags; made from ultra-lightweight carbon fiber. Alternatively, add a rotating filter such as a diopter or polariser using our dedicated ONE Tray. You configure the matte box for rod-mounting in 15mm LWS or 19mm Studio setups, or with a swing-away bracket.
