An Unusual photograph of i think is the Temeraire , a Battleship that fought at Jutland 1916. Don’t know why but we have U62 written on the back with a date 1917. Looks like it was taken from a periscope tho ??? The mark to the top RH corner is a thumb print on the negative, size 3.5 in x 2.5 in. HMS Temeraire (1907) was one of three Bellerophon dreadnought Battleships built for the Royal Navy. Launched in August 1907, she was a direct evolution of the revolutionary HMS Dreadnought, featuring improved underwater protection and a more powerful secondary armament to defend against torpedo boats. Key specifications included a length of 526 feet, a beam of 82 feet 6 inches, and armament of ten 12-inch and sixteen 4-inch guns. She was designed to achieve a speed of 21 knots. During World War I, she served with the Grand Fleet’s 4th Battle Squadron and participated in the Battle of Jutland in 1916. After the war, she was transferred to the Mediterranean Fleet in 1918 to support operations in the region. Temeraire returned to the UK in 1919 and was briefly used for cadet training before being decommissioned in 1921.
